Monroe Wisconsin April 11 secretary R G Wells of Blumer Product Co received an anonymous Chicago letter lowering the ransom for Fred Blumer head of the Monroe brewery to 100000. Blumer, former Wisconsin Brewers association president, has been missing since Thursday night after leaving for a business appointment. A later call claimed he was safe but held for 150000. The letter warned secrecy and signed unemployed guys.
