Defer Action on Lake Project for Scout Council in Redfield
Redfield April 1. The State Fish and Game Commission offered 1.509 toward construction of an artificial lake Da Ka Tah but action was deferred pending further investigation of funding. The Central South Dakota Boy Scout Council met to discuss Camp Da Ka Tah plans with estimated total cost about 6,000 and schedules for camporees near Pierre Wessington and Lake Byron. George Sherman of Huron was named delegate to the National Council meeting in New York City May 12 and 13. Plans for two tips for advanced Scouts were approved, and a full council meeting at Camp Da Ka Tah was set for June 19. The council has grown to 1,913 registered boys from 23 communities since 1825.
