Restoration Of Indian Pottery 25 Pieces Reproduced From Fragmenta
Vermillion April 1 1949 The restoration of 25 Indian pottery pieces from fragments found in Hutchinson County and near Mitchell during 1948 and 1939 is complete. Pottery is rebuilt using plaster molds from original sherds, with diameters determined by piece curvature. Some ware was reassembled, some toy pots found intact, and decorative patterns vary. Two Huron High School seniors will spend their annual Skip Day at State College on May 7 during the college open house for seniors. Funeral Services Held For Hand County Child
Funeral services were held at the Presbyter Church for Louise Marie Stevens ten-year-old daughter of Mr and Mrs Clare Stevens of Hand County. She died Saturday morning after a short illness. Louise Marie was born in Hand County and attended school near her home. She is survived by her parents two brothers and two sisters. Pallbearers were high school girls. Burial was in the G AVR Cemetery. TO GIVE SPRING CONCERT CONDE April 6 Special Conde High School is giving a spring musical concert at the municipal building Friday evening. Mr Saba ka and Miss Grabowskia will direct. The band will wear new uniforms for the first time and proceeds will help send fifty students to the contest at Aberdeen this month.

Chamberlain Man Sentenced for Liquor Sale to Indian
Harold Salde of Chamberlain received a three year term in the U S Southwest reformatory at El Reno Oklahoma after a second offense conviction for selling liquor to an Indian. Lawrence Philbrick of Santee pleaded guilty to statutory rape on an Indian area in Charles Mix County and was placed on probation for 18 months.

Sugar beet growers receive near $20,100 in 1934 payments
BELLE FOURCHE April 10. Checks totaling nearly $20,100 are sent to Black Hills sugar beet growers for the 1934 crop. Manager Collins T Cannon of the Utah-Idaho Sugar Co. says about 70,000 tons are involved at roughly 25.0 cents per ton, about $6.60 per ton paid to date. Final per ton figure depends on market conditions. Including this payment, over $450,000 has been paid to Hills growers for the 1939 crop.
