Brookings April 10. Dr. L M Hrudka head of the education department at South Dakota State College cites a survey of 1 500 midwestern farmers showing rural schooling lags urban standards. He calls for merging districts into larger units, high schools in every community, enriched curricula, better trained teachers, longer school years, and professional leadership to expose farm youth to high school and college training.
