Election Judges Named for City Polling Places in April Vote

Election officials announced the judges who will preside April 21 as Huron voters pick three city commissioners and consider an electric rate measure. Six candidates seek the three seats, with three backed by the Petitioners Committee backing the electric rate proposal. The measure sets residential rates at 6 cents for the first 20 kilowatts, 20 cents for the next 2, and not more than 3 cents for the balance, plus a 50 cent minimum monthly charge. Nominating petitions must be filed by Friday night to meet legal deadlines.
