County Retains Motor Fund Share With No Township Grants
Beadle County commissioners announced no motor vehicle tax funds would be distributed to townships this year. All license money will fund county highway work, with no county road levy this year. A January resolution had kept all motor license receipts for county use, while a 63 mile gap remains to complete the highway system. Olson leads the Farm Bureau committee seeking 30 percent of motor funds for townships, with possible July follow up to shape next year’s budget.
