Dayton police report five robbers, armed with a machine gun, looted the Union Trust bank on Xenia avenue shortly after opening. They took almost all cash from the vault and counters, estimated between 360,000 and 49,000, while two stayed outside and three inside forced employees and customers to lie on the floor.
