Local residents and visitors noted in Huron area notices
A wave of short business calls and social visits fills Huron and surrounding towns. William Stewart, mayor of Wessington and ex Beadle county commissioner, appeared on city business, while HL Harper of Mitchell toured for business. Miss Mary Jamieson of Pierre, rehabilitation director, was in Huron on official duties. Leora Lewis, state librarian, departed Huron for De Smet and Brookings after a Tuesday visit. Various residents returned from trips to Minneapolis, Chicago, and Los Angeles. New patterns in inexpensive silverware arrived at Huesgen’s Jewelry, and a complete line of guaranteed lawn and garden equipment is available at Gamble’s. A petition circulates in Wellington Springs, with Mrs E W Olson of Bijou Hills involved.
