A heavy stock decline spreads along the market and police are required to maintain order. Comptroller Ridgeley believes conditions may improve as reports from other cities are favorable. Roosevelt says his policies are not to blame. San Francisco reports the financial situation excellent.

Mortgage chain ties Mahuka site to federal building plan

William Staluka owner of the Mahuka site mortgaged to Bathsheba M Allen for 6200. The deed, filed with the Registrar of GE Conveyances, notes the transfer does not affect sale to the Federal Government and is subject to prior liens including a feoft mortgage, a deed of trust to the Lee Waterhouse Trust Co, and a June 4 1807 contract. The mortgage conveys richie and interest in the contract and the $25,100 due on purchase by Henry Waterhouse Trust Co. The mortgagor remits proceeds to the mortgagee and any other dues.
