In policy court this forenoon Yan Kan a lawful pos teason of opinion was disposed of. Kakalia a treancy received six months in reform school. Moana Engineers to Build Samoa Coal Wharf at Pago Pago

United States government rushes the Samoa coal port project. Engineers Lt F Chambers G A McKay and E R Naylor aboard the Moana join contractor Tibbetts and 25 skilled mechanics. Plans describe a massive steel wharf at Pago Pago, 50 by 50 feet, forming a T shape with 50 foot water depth and 33 by 49 foot approach, to accommodate the largest naval ships. work expected to start after July with a six month stay and a $25000 government appropriation. Harding details, consulate events, and a separate arrest in Kewalo are noted.

Lawton’s Manila advance and Hawaii rail talks

Lone Star Line to Pull Fleet from Galveston to San Francisco

The Lone Star Line agrees to suspend its Galveston service and sell its remaining steamers to a Pacific firm for service between San Francisco and Honolulu. The three vessels, including the Morgas and the Meet, have faced wartime losses and postwar shortages. New ownership aims to rebuild the Gulf trade as ship prices rise and pricing for replacements becomes feasible.
