Honolulu Bank Forger Arrest of Guy Landers in 1900

Guy Landers was arrested in Honolulu by Pinkerton agents at the First National Bank’s request for a forged $540 draft. The con man, who portrayed himself as a plantation heir, had used several banks across the country, with Hawaii and Montana connections, before being captured in Shreveport and then linked to Honolulu records. Authorities consider extradition to Hawaii likely to bring him to trial.
