Body of Japanese man recovered from Bay near Bumner's Strand

The corpse of Stugawa, a Japanese man who drowned in the Strashet of Thursday, was found in the bay off Bumner's Strand at seven this morning. Wally Davis recovered the body and brought it to the jail station. An inquest was deemed unnecessary by Marshal Brown and Dr. Kuwerson signed the death certificate indicating drowning. Friends later removed the remains to Mekiki cemetery for burial. the body was in good condition and easily identified.
