The Inter Island Steam Navigation Company, by its attorneys Lewis, filed a libel for salvage against the schooner Kaulkenoull and her cargo, alleging the Kalulani towed the vessel to Hilo after a perilous voyage. Ocean Yacht Race Promoters Plan Details in Honolulu Meeting

Enthusiasts and Hawaii Yacht Club members convened at the Ha i Promotion Committee rooms to organize the San Francisco to Honolulu ocean race. Commodore Ho K Cooper chaired.
