Two Buildings Destroyed In Morning Blaze
A morning fire at Ab Tom's coffee saloon and Chong Wong's laundry destroyed both buildings. One Chinese man was injured by jumping from a second story window and two children were nearly suffocated by smoke before rescue. The blaze started when the cook spilled kerosene while lighting the coffee saloon. No insurance covered either building. losses include about 3704 worth of clothes in the laundry and 1000 for windows with the coffee saloon at about 2000.
