Strangers' Friend Society Holds Fiftieth Annual Meeting

The Strangers' Friend Society held its fiftieth annual meeting in the parlors of the MG on Chaplain lane. Officers were elected at the regular session this morning and the president will read the annual report tonight. The secretary Mrs S M Damon summarized the year’s work and sketched future plans. The society was formed in 1862 to aid destitute, ill, and poor residents without regard to nationality. (Continued on page 5.)
