President Dole and party sailed from Pearl Harbor on the Bonnie Dundee when the yacht ran onto a reef near Pearl City. The ladies were rescued and landed at Pearl City in time for the last train. the gentlemen remained aboard until the ship floated off and reached Honolulu by four. The vessel suffered only bottom paint loss and was otherwise fine.
