Legislature Adjourns as Senate Debates Alcohol and Roads
The Hawaii Senate met at 10 oclock with roll, approving minutes and receiving a petition from the American League for Honolulu Electric Railway. Debate focused on a kerosene bill, alcohol duty set at 3.50 per gallon, and a supplementary appropriation act with numerous road and school items. measures passed after long discussion, adjourned to 10 a.m. Monday.
