Warren Loses ER Propeller Blade In Typhoon Delays
The Warren, a U S Army transport arriving at Navy Dock No 2 from Manila Nagasaki, lost a propeller blade off Laywan Island during a ten hour typhoon. A spare blade exists onboard. a repair here would slow progress to San Francisco. The vessel will be in port about a week, under Captain A N Walton, carrying drivers and families rather than troops, with limited accommodations possible on the Sherman.
