In a morning hearing Judge Whitney found Bowers guilty of assaulting Harry Lyman on Nunana street. Lyman testified he was walking with his young son when Bowers called out and struck him with a gun barrel after a warning from County Detective Lake. Bowers claimed fear of Lyman’s threats prompted the blow. Lake corroborated prior warnings. A $40 fine was imposed with post, and an appeal was noted.
R J Bonine the moving picture man plans a return visit to Hawaii this month or next.
