Legislature Debates Currency Bill and Trade Probes

In the Senate session, Waterhouse blocked a favorable report on the new currency bill and a joint resolution sought a committee to investigate the fresh meat trade in Honolulu for public health and monopoly risks. Representatives debate Pali road and game protection

The House opened at 10 a.m. with Minister Damen replying to Mr Hauna. Mrs Kauhane’s marriage status was clarified and her settlement continued. The session adjourned at 10:60 a.m. with plans for practice reforms, a patron office, and a smoking concert for this year. A. de Gorvie resigned from the executive committee amid departure.
