Volcanic Disturbance and Eruption Outlook at Mokuaweoweo

Professor Alexander commented on the crater eruption at Mokuaweoweo predicting the lava flow may split toward Waiakei and Hilo in one branch and toward Kaa in another, with Olsa unaffected. Injunction Suit Over Wheels Patented by Grant

The Hawaiian Carriage Manufacturing Company sues G A Schumann in circuit court seeking discovery and injunction. It alleges Schumann manufactured and sold rubber-tired wheels covered by Hawaiian Patent No 149, unlawfully selling the wheels despite requests to stop. A Chinese laborer, Kite, was killed near Wainnae plantation when hit by cave cars as workers returned from the fields yesterday.

Volunteers by the Hundreds Reach War Dept Wisconsin June 20

Washington reports the War Department flooded with volunteer offers to go to the Philippines. About 100000 men tendered for immediate service, with volunteer enlistments to continue until ordered stopped. A provisional force of around 3 soldiers will be formed to guard towns and cities, excluding hospital and unfit personnel.
