Draft of County Bill Is Submitted to Committee
The county government bill prepared by the Republican Commission was presented to the Central committee at headquarters on Saturday night. The report, read by Chairman W C Smith, noted the committee’s good understanding and observed several points. Honolulu, Hawaii June 17 1903. The Republican Territorial Committee presents a plan dividing the Territory into five counties Oahu Maui West Hawaii East Hawaii Kauai with county seats Honolulu Wailuku Hilo Lihue and provisions for elected and appointed officers, budgets, and bonds aimed at orderly governance and court compatibility.
