Police Court morning gambler case and local notices

In Police Court a young man appeared charged with a misdemeanor for gambling. The same morning a second- degreen offender was caught in the act by Judge Wilcox while attempting theft from the court. Mrs Lepeka Haawinaaupo, a known Hawaiian woman and Kawain hao church member, died Sunday morning after a short illness. Chas Plimoku, Kubuna Piimoki and others were fined $25 each for gambling. The Bulletin added 016 new subscribers in the last three months.

Willie Conway's Funeral in Waikapu

Wailuku January 17 funeral services for Willie Conway, brought from Honolulu by Mauna Loa last Tuesday, were held at the family residence in Waikapu and the remains interred in the Waikapu church cemetery. The bereaved parents, sole survivors of their child, express gratitude for the care and support from Kamehameha, teachers, horses, and physicians who strove to save the boy.
