Circus on Island Draws Packed Houses in Bid for Yokohama

Yesterday's fair attendance enjoyed a full card of events. Angus beat Dexter in the sprint, while Giles and Angus led the five mile race with Sylvester close behind. Tommy King retired with a collapsed tire. The trotting heat set a new Hawaiian bred record of 2:41 for unknown mares, and Judy the mare cemented fast times in later heats. Confederate led the last mile as Emin Ray withdrew. Judeh holds the Hawaiian record at 2:40, owned by George Patterson.
