General Lawton to command forces if Otis governor Philippines

War Department orders Major General Lawton to service in the Philippines. He will be second in command to General Otis and would assume military command if Otis becomes governor. Lawton recently led at Santaigo in Cuba and now departs for duty in Manila. Frank will command on Lawton’s departure.

Count de Jotempa Seeks European Control of American Cars

The Record reports Count de Jotempa of Paris has signed a contract to purchase about 85 million dollars worth of Chicago manufactured motor vehicles. He heads the American Motor general agency with Paris HQ and offices in every European capital. The aim is to control the European agency for selling American cars.

Delayed to Lome McKay Arrested at King Street
