Land Sale Controversy Over Waiawa Plot Above Pearl City
Letters from Honolulu readers question the disposal of valuable government land near Waiawa above Pearl City. Critics urge public auction clarity citing alleged underpayment and secrecy. A government official notes lands in Wahiawa remain under settlement and long leases while education lands passed to the state two years ago. Prof Berger and Miss Lowe Clark marry quietly at the McChenney home, a reception follows before their departure.
