Opium Found On Drunk Man After Arrest

P J Howard of the Australia working force was arrested by officers Habbel and Bashaw after a drunken episode. He was taken to the station house where a tin of opium was found secreted in his clothing. The charge was changed to unlawful possession of opium.

Regulars Ordered to Manila from Fort Leavenworth

Omaha December 15. Orders from the Department of the Missouri mandate the Twentieth United States Infantry move from Fort Leavenworth to Manila. The regiment will depart San Francisco aboard the transport Scandia without delay, to be outfitted for a three year stay in the Philippines.
