Mutineers Set Adrift Three Sailors Shot Captain
Three American sailors allegedly mutinied on the British ship Seleopter near Pitcairn Island. Captain Peattle of the Leicester One reports Hobbe, Turner, and Sears killed the mate, shot the captain, and escaped on a raft after a night assault. The ship’s crew was left aboard to confront the mutineers as dawn broke. The mutineers are believed adrift in the South Pacific with no trace found. The American Consul will monitor investigations. the captain remains hospitalized.
