Centennial's Good Name Reassures Honolulu on Arrival
The stock transport Centennial from San Francisco docked at Irmgard wharf with 285 horses and mules. Captain L M Ketler led the stock squad with Veterinary Surgeon Williamson in charge. Williamson, famed for guiding 200 horses aboard Tacoma through the October typhoon, reports all animals in fine condition. Centennial unload will be rushed. Captain Eagles plans to sail to San Francisco next Monday, with a bunkering measure to prevent sailors boarding. The ship will carry San Francisco mail on its return if weather holds, arriving after Christmas. The vessel will be fumigated before departure and remains in excellent order with the same officers aboard.

Hon D H Hitchcock Dead in Hawaii Age 68
Hon D H Hitchcock born in Honolulu and long a resident of Hawaii died Monday the 11th at age 68. A lawyer by training he served as district judge at Hilo for forty years and sat in the Hawaiian Republic Constitutional Convention. He lived at Olasa and farmed coffee, leaving a legacy of integrity and esteem. He is survived by several children including Mrs Townsend and Mrs Loebenstein and the artist D Howant Hitchcock. Funeral held at Hilo last Wednesday with addresses by Rev Cruma and Rev Dosha.

Iringard Pigs in Clover Arrives Harbor with Losses
Iringard sixteen days from San Francisco docked at Kinau wharf yesterday and began unloading live stock at 6 pm. About 200 hogs were moved, but the process caused chaos as workers crowded animals into a single corner. Two hogs died amid the chaos before rest of stock was unloaded. Horses cows and fowl followed this morning.
