Native sailor saved after overboard on W G Hall near Nawiliwili
Early Wednesday on the steamer W G Hall bound for Nawiliwili a native sailor fell overboard while he tossed a bucket of ashes. The vessel reversed engines, searchlight scanned the sea, and within twenty minutes the man was spotted and rescued unharmed. He claimed he would have swum to land if necessary. Natives are not easily overcome by the water when the sea is smooth.
