A boiler explosion at a small Chinese placer mill near the Haanliliamanu bridge on King Street injures no one, but bricks and boiler parts fly into the yard. The accident followed low water and cold-water injection by a careless worker, with the boiler top blown off and the stack tossed upward.
About a dozen sick soldiers were taken from the Zealan to the Siar hospital this morning with no ambulance. They will not proceed with their comrades to Manila and some may not go on at all. It was safer to send the men to the hospital rather than attempt treatment aboard ship. Prof. Koshele ay rjuro from Kousi in the W. G. Gi!, Sunday morning.
