Summer recreation program begins Monday in Eustis area
The Eustis area summer recreation program starts Monday June 10 with registration on the first day. Activities include arts and crafts for elementary students, swimming classes, lifesaving and adult swimming instruction, indoor games, table games in the cafeteria, and gym and tennis offerings at Ferran Park. Evening gym and basketball also available.

Aldrich of Eustis is named president of the Mid Florida Orchestra Association for the 1968 69 season. City Receives 2792 From Trailer Convention Fees
The City of Eustis reported 2792.45 in trailer convention parking fees from 1965, presented by Don Porter of the Trailer Committee of the Eustis Chamber of Commerce. He also noted donations to Waterman Memorial Hospital and local civic groups and urged preparations for a November trailer rally with 300 trailers expected. The meeting covered taxicab fare changes, street funding, and advertising plans for East Lake County.

Capt Henry Land Jr spoke to the Eustis Rotary Club on the war in Vietnam growing more complex due to home front attitudes. He described evacuation times and noted the U S is in Vietnam after three presidents committed to aid. Program chairman John Wilkerson announced the district assembly set for June 8 9 at Silver Springs. Rev Bruce Pickering thanked members and said he would soon depart Eustis for Fort Myers.
