Fifty tons of ore shipped this week and fifty more in bins await hauling to the station. High grade ore from the east raise and from the west crows is yielding several tons daily. Lost Plane Reports Over Eureka as Mail Route Planes Fly
Eureka residents witnessed a transcontinental air mail plane at about 10 40 a m drifting around 3600 feet above town. Pilot John L Eaton later reported a forced landing near Butte Valley fifty miles south of Elko and the craft was undamaged.

Eureka Ball Club Loses To Austin In Weekend Match
Eureka suffered a 7 to 1 defeat as Austin fielded two imported players Stewart Powell and others. Eureka scored its lone run in the seventh after a rough second inning, while Austin pitcher Hag reka handled the early innings and the Austin infield turned five double plays. Eureka reports Austin played clean sports and left for Ely to face the Ely Club next afternoon, save for Travers who injured his hip.

The Towabe National Forest supervisor announces no temporary grazing permits will be issued after the 1920 season unless unused surplus range is available. Catholic Church Services in Eureka Highlight Communion
Rev Father Connery visited Eureka and held services at St Brendans church. A class of Catholic children, instructed by Miss Rose Curto, received first communion and were praised in a sermon. The group later enjoyed breakfast at Europa Cafe and desserts at Curio parlors. Baptisms were also performed for several infants during the visit.

Gov. James M. Cox of Ohio opened the Elko County fair as crowds gathered from Utah and Nevada. Attending were Gov. Emmet Boyle, Sen. Charles Henderson, and Scrugham. Captain Carter of the Reno police brought A. B. Cooper to Reno after his arrest in Eureka for grand larceny. Cooper admitted stealing a Reno automobile owned by B. P. Jones and said his real name is James E. B. Heed. He is on parole from San Quentin for forgery.
