Metropolis Branch Abandonment Sought by Southern Pacific

The Public Service Commission received a joint application from Southern Pacific and the Interstate Commerce Commission seeking permission to abandon the Metropolis Branch from Tulasco Metropolis in Eiko County, an eight mile line. They state the line never paid expenses since 1910, estimate repairs will total 4075 over two years with a salvage value of 45821 if track is removed, and blame sparse settlement and loss of original settlers for no future development. The PSC will consider public input before deciding.
