The Eureka district court opened with Judge Peter Breen presiding. Matters from the estate of deceased Parentia were first disposed of. A petition by Eureka County Bank’s Receiver to take a new $800 note from Camillo Gallo, with P. Parent on the note, payable six months after date, was granted. Gallo’s property, the old Bureau Hotel, secures the note at 1 percent monthly interest. Also approved was the Receiver’s agreement with Gus Simon to pay $2895.36 arising from a judgment against Rocco Homestake Mining, in exchange for Simon’s real and personal property, including four mining claims and equipment.
