The War Department asks Senator Newlands to name a principal and two alternates for West Point with Professor Lewers of the State University at Reno to conduct a competitive exam on November 18 for all eligible Nevada youths. The top candidate becomes principal, the next two alternates. A separate exam for Annapolis principal and three alternates will select entrants for April 1913.
