District Court approves sale of sheep in Corta v Uhalde case
In district court Judge Peter Breen presided over the case of Florencio Corta against Gaston Uhalde et al. A stipulation shows livestock sold to First National Bank of Winnemucca at 6.60 per head, funds placed in Farmers and Merchants Bank of Eureka, and the receiver surrendering control. The court revoked the additional $3,000 bond and overruled the Guraer to the complaint, granting Uhalde one day to respond.

Tonopah Nevada October 26 Clifford Coon ey an Indian who pleaded guilty to rustling two head of stock in Twin River valley was sentenced to an indeterminate term of one to fourteen years. The court cited good character and extenuating circumstances and an early pardon will be sought.

Death of Thomas Barry In Eureka At 22
Thomas Barry formerly of Cork County Ireland died last Sunday in Eureka after a fall years ago and complications from diabetes. He came to Eureka six years ago to work for the Eureka Land Stock Company and was a WWI trainee at Camp Lewis. He served with Rescue Hose Company and was honored by American Legion Post 20 at a requiem mass and burial at the Catholic cemetery, survived by two brothers James and Patrick and three sisters in St. Louis.

A Welcome Storm Improves Roads. Nevada Beats Utah 54 to 0
A warm storm swept Eureka with rain and light snow on Sunday. Prospect Mountain and the Diamond range received a heavy dusting while Diamond Valley saw little. Snow depths allowed sheepmen to move bands to winter feeding grounds as frosts persisted. Nevada routed Utah Agricultural College 54 to 0 in football Saturday.
