Coyote Killed in Town After Chase Through Streets
A young coyote was killed in town after men chased it from Buel street to Main street near the Kuroke County Bank building. It was shot and then pelted with tea and bottles as bystanders joined, ending near the bank with Charley Nos landing the final blow. The animal, not rabid, had wandered into town from the open country causing a brief pursuit.

The Eureka wedding of Georgia Beatrice Williams and Marcos Legarra took place at the Williams home near the Eureka Nevada Railway depot. Rev. L Rowe Williams performed the double ring ceremony under an arch of chrysanthemums and ferns. The couple and attendants wore formal attire and guests enjoyed a Southern style wedding feast. The newlyweds plan to reside at Pinto Creek ranch after a California trip with Mrs Williams and Mrs Frank Williams.

Hallowe'en Masque Ball Winners in Winnemucca
A group of Winnemucca hallowe'en girls won the $12.50 prize for best group at a masque ball. Participants included Mrs Grace Rosevear Mrs Ruby Nontrosa Mia Edna Kelsey former Eureka girls and Mrs Earl Woodward. J H Fine formerly of Eureka underwent surgery for rupture in an Elko hospital last month and is recovering well. Half of all women employed in gainful occupations are school teachers.

Eureka Mining Drift Advances At Porphyry Contact
The drift on the 600 level extends south along the porphyry contact for 200 feet with high grade veinlets. The 600 level drift extends 75 feet southwest under the ore zone, showing the porphyry intrusion. A winze is sunk below the 500 level on a strong break. old workings and a 1902 San Francisco Chronicle were found in Bullwhacker drift. Construction of new buildings and machinery installation are planned by month’s start.
