Rabid Coyote Killed In Eureka Friday
A rabid coyote roamed Eureka Friday forenoon biting three dogs before being killed near the J C Johnson property. The animal, sighted at the railway depot, traveled westward and through the town area before being shot. Three bitten dogs, owned by Otto May, J Johnson, and Mrs F Kopp, were confined or killed. two other rabid dogs were also killed earlier in the week. Sheriff James Mackey warned to kill unmuzzled dogs at large after Monday October 23.
