Palisade Candidates Attend Weekend Dance Benefit

Palisade and nearby residents packed a Saturday night event on October 24 to back a county bond issue for a new high school. Dr W Brennen urged immediate action, candy raffles raised 7.75 dollars, and total net proceeds plus donations reached 41.75 dollars for school lights. Eureka County School to Resume Work on K L Philips Property

The Eureka County Board of Education leased the old K. L. Philips residence on Noh Hill and Principal Lace with a crew is repairing the building for high school use. Classes will begin in the early part or middle of next week with the opening date posted in the Post Office lobby. The repurposed building will be put in first class condition and kept clean.

The Sophomore and Junior reapo of the Eureka County hosted a Halloween dancing party at Pavilion hall ue on Friday evening. Grotesque black cats and jack o lanterns brightened the hall while a fortune telling booth drew interest. A student lunch followed, then dancing continued until 2 o'clock. The event earned unanimous praise as entertainers.
