Charles S Walker died at his Palisade home after convalescing from whooping cough and a severe cold or influenza. He was a prominent Eureka County resident, previously a merchant in Palisade and nearby, who had just moved to the Ebert ranch with his family. Survived by widow Miss Lizzie Rand, four young children, a mother, five brothers, and a sister in Sparks Nevada. Felix Maggini of San Jose, longtime Sentinel subscriber, reports 46 years subscribed connects him to Eureka’s early community.
