The Eureka Croesus mine reports two new ore bodies expanding in size and value, with six samples ranging from 112 to 756 per ton. Elmer Hylton a Mound Valley rancher and Musa Gobin of Eureka were united in marriage Sunday March Ath at the First Methodist Episcopal Church in Salt Lake City. Both give Elko Nevada as their residence and plan a Salt Lake City honeymoon before returning to Eureka to begin life together. The couple has been a noted presence in Eureka social circles with Hylton frequenting local events from Elko County and his bride believed to have spent most of her life in Elko.

Holly mine resumes high grade ore shipments to amelters

Shipping of high grade ore from the Holly mine resumed this week with 50 tons sent to the amelters. Regular shipments will continue as roads improve and mine development advances. New machinery is installed but circulating water tanks for two crude oil engines are delayed for about three weeks. Ore milling continues with existing power in the interim.

Divorce Granted in Cruelty Case for Morse and Moran

A decree of divorce was granted to Katherine Morse from C B Moran by Judge Peter Breen in the Third Judicial Court on cruelty grounds. Morse receives sole custody of their child Adna Frances Morse, with a visitation arrangement starting at age seven. The couple married in death.

Layee Arrives to Superintend Holly Mine Operations

Maral Br. Layee arrived in Bu Tek a this week to supervise the Holly mine during reform of antimony ore treatment. He runs a San Francisco plant and has studied economical ore reduction methods. Layng shows interest in Austin properties and Nevada mining conditions. A reduction method may be adopted by Eureka Holly mine officials as they plan a new plant.

Death of Eureka Resident John Zunino From Pneumonia

John Zunino died at Eureka County Hospital last Monday at 5 30 am after several days of double pneumonia. Funeral services led by P H O Connor were conducted at the hospital with burial the following Tuesday afternoon. Born in Genoa Italy in 1847 he had lived in Eureka about 40 years and worked as a teamster. He is survived by a brother Antonia now ill at the hospital a wife and children still in Italy.

St Patrick Ball a Successful Benefit Affair

The St Patrick ball held to aid the Bureke baseball team drew about 200 attendees from Palisade Carlin and surrounding county areas. A special train carried county residents to the event. Receipts totaled 170.50 with expenses of 28 for hall rent 40 for music 4.50 for printing and ads 17.05 for revenue tax leaving 85.95 in balance and officials hope to raise more if another event is held.
