Nevada Senate considers bureau of mines for ore samples
Carson City reports a bill to create a State bureau of mines with the Governor and mining experts to sample ore, assess value, and collect data on resources. The proposed board includes an experienced mining engineer paid 5000 dollars yearly and oversees the state assayer and inspector. A companion measure to the 1917 assayers law is linked to Senator Summerfield.
