Washington June 4 Herbert C Hoover famed for Belgian Relief heads urges US to adopt complete federal food control to curb price inflation, boost surplus for Allies, and avoid famine fears. He argues control would regulate prices, raise surplus, and protect consumers from a “small minority of skunks” while denying arbitrary market disruption. If uncontrolled markets prevail he warns of $5 wheat and high flour costs.
