The Eureka County Chamber of Commerce completed its annual director election on June 26, naming four hold-overs and eight new directors to form a 12-member board. The group approved camping grounds improvements on North Main Street and urged action on railroad rate hearings and highway funding, seeking contract letting to secure the Eureka Hay Ranch section and a much needed road.

Racing Car Ditches Near Austin While Aiming Chicago Record

Booster 1922 at Eureka High sold by graduates

The 1922 Booster yearbook from Eureka County High School is on sale in Eureka this week, priced at one dollar. It is a neat souvenir printed on tinted paper with brown covers. The Senior Class funded 437.72 for 150 copies and asks readers to obtain remaining copies from class members or at the Sentinel office.

Presbyterian Church Notice in Eureka Services

Through Ore Rates Effective On July 28

Local Agent M F Williams of the Eureka Nevada Railway provided the Sentinel with new through ore rates from Eureka to Utah smelters set to take effect July 28. Williams notes the company also participates in a 10 to 25 percent reduction, already in force since the first of the month.

Western Pacific Ore Rates Palisade to Utah Smelters

The Sentinel reports new ore rate schedules from Western Pacific for shipment from Palisade to Utah smelters in open cars with minimum weight requirements. Effective July 28, 1922, the rates show changes from old to new values across several tonnages, reflecting updated transportation costs. Also noted is Captain Charles Priest of the U S Army Reserve being summoned for duty at Fort Douglas Utah, with departure last Sunday.
