Prospector Snippy Dies in Tent Fire Near Carson Mines
James Hankle of Ping Nut, near Carson, Nevada, reports Manuel Lorenzo known as Snippy, a Portuguese prospector, was killed by a tent fire at the local camp. He burned badly from the waist down while attempting to escape and died after dragging himself about 0 feet from the tent. the body was found in a badly decomposed state.
