Death of Nevada Delegate Joseph B. Ryan in St Louis

Joseph BR Ryan, one of Nevada's delegates to the convention, died in St Louis on July 1 from pneumonia. He had traveled from Virginia City on June 24 with plans to attend the World's Fair and the Nations Democratic Convention. A long-time mining figure on the Comstock, he held posts including Superintendent of several mines and manager of the Comstock Pumping Association. He was 55, survived by his widow and daughter Mrs Alfred Cellieur of San Francisco. He belonged to Reno and Storey lodges and Manogue Council, noted for his courtesy and integrity.
