Trip Over Pinto Summit Brings Supplies From Fish Creek Ranch
Isadore Sara of Eu reka Land and Live Stock Co returned from Fish Creek with six horses and a sleigh to haul supplies through deep snow. The Pinto summit route required riding the railroad grade due to impassable canyon roads, aided by two saddle horses to steady the team. Sara plans to move two bands of sheep toward Duckwater country, using a snow plow to cut a six foot path and baiting leaders with hay. Other bands remain in Reveille district, about 90 miles south, conditions unclear after recent storms. Mrs. Agnes Morrison and son James drove from Antelope valley for supplies and noted heavy snow at the ranch but lighter snow where sheep winter.
