Five Cows Bitten By Rabid Dog In Smoky Valley
Cattle owners in Smoky valley report heavy losses as five cows on the Gen dron ranch and four head on another property were killed after being bitten by a rabid dog that traveled to Round Mountain where it was slain. A Grass Valley child died after biting an apple believed infected by a rabid coyote.
