Nevada Tax Commission Increase in 1916 Assessments
The Nevada Tax Commission plans 1916 assessments at 80 percent of cash value for six land classes including cultivated, meadow, pasture, irrigable arable, grazing and mountain. Expected statewide valuation rises to about 173 million dollars, a 14.3 percent gain, while the state tax rate declines from 56 to 46 cents. A $7,241.35 check issued by J Glazier and Company in January 1878, indorsed by the late William Sharon of San Francisco, was found on Antone de Molrup who died recently in Fallon County Hospital.
